Quantity Surveyor

Job Qualifications – Quantity Surveyor

• Must be a graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or any related course
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Basic knowledge in quantity take-off, cost estimation, and construction materials
• Or with at least -1 year of relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and project cost control (preferably in construction industry)
• Familiarity with technical drawings, plans, and specifications
• Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge in AutoCAD or estimating software (e.g., Planswift) is an advantage
• Willing to learn and be trained in project cost control, budgeting, and billing processes
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on project plans and specifications
• Analyze drawings and specifications to determine material and labor requirements
• Conduct cost planning, monitoring, and control throughout the project lifecycle
• Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Assist in bidding, tendering, and contract preparation
• Monitor project progress and prepare cost reports and forecasts
• Identify and manage variations, claims, and change orders
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams for cost-related concerns
• Conduct site visits to validate quantities and track project progress
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and company standards
• Prepare and submit progress billings and final accounts
• Maintain proper documentation of project costs and financial records

Work Scope:

• Office-based with regular site inspections and coordination meetings
• Handles multiple projects simultaneously depending on workload
