Remote Patient Services Coordinator

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Virtual Medical Assistant to support a multispecialty clinic. This role focuses on preparing patient charts, verifying insurance and documentation, communicating financial responsibilities, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify insurance coverage and identify issues using portals or direct calls
• Prepare and update patient charts, demographics, and referrals
• Confirm authorizations, documentation, and PCP information
• Inform patients of costs, coverage gaps, or self-pay options
• Coordinate referrals, including obtaining missing documents
• Handle appointment confirmations, follow-ups, and schedule changes
• Communicate delays, requirements, and financial responsibilities clearly

Qualifications:

• Experience in medical office or insurance verification preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. insurance processes and benefits
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• High attention to detail and patient confidentiality
