Pastry Baker

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Baker / Pastry Baker to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and cakes while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate is willing to learn, can work independently, and is able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked products according to recipes and established standards.
• Measure, mix, proof, shape, bake, and finish products accurately and consistently.
• Prepare and organize ingredients and baking materials needed for daily production.
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality to ensure consistent results.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the baking and kitchen areas.
• Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures.
• Properly operate, clean, and maintain ovens, mixers, and other kitchen and baking equipment.
• Perform multiple tasks efficiently while meeting production schedules and deadlines.
• Work independently while also cooperating with other kitchen staff.
• Assist with inventory monitoring and proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
• Follow instructions and company standards and be willing to learn new techniques and recipes.
• Perform other baking and kitchen-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• At least 1 year of baking experience.
• Knowledge and basic skills in baking breads, pastries, and cakes.
• Basic knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety.
• Proficient in the proper use and basic maintenance of kitchen and baking equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to learn and undergo training.
• Responsible, hardworking, organized, and detail-oriented.
• At least a High School graduate.
• A certificate, diploma, or degree in Baking, Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related course is an advantage but not required.
