About the Role: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Virtual Assistant with a background in graphic design or CAD software to assist in creating 2D drawings for seat cover patterns. This role will involve receiving raw measurements from our local team, translating them into 2D designs using CAD software, and working with our automatic cutting machine software, PatternSmith 11.0. 

As Design Editor, you will be responsible for assisting our team with design-related tasks, including editing graphics, images, and layouts, as well as providing general administrative support. As a Design Specialist, you will be responsible for the design and construction of BLG stores together with other members of the design, operations, engineering and executive departments. You are also tasked to create and execute exciting display concepts for furniture exhibits. From time to time you will also be tasked with assisting with design consultations, styling and visual merchandising.

JOB DESCRIPTION

STORE DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

1. Acts as the point person for all matters pertaining to store design & construction

2. Works closely with the Head Designer and management to conceptualize store designs and layouts

3. Prepares floor plans/layouts for new stores as well as for therenovation/enhancement of the existing branches

4. Coordinates with suppliers and contractors for necessary materials and quotations

5. Conducts regular site visits to check on the progress of construction

6. Oversees all aspects of store enhancements (including updating visuals, finishes, etc.)

EXHIBITS

1. Works closely with the design team and other departments in conceptualizing and implementing exhibits
