CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Act as a primary point of contact for member-clients, agents, brokers, and internal teams to provide exceptional customer service
• Address inquiries, concerns, and ensure a smooth underwriting process
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

• Design insurance policies, wordings and pricing, that address the needs of the clients
• Provide recommendations on individual or group insurance plan designs

RISK EVALUATION & SELECTION

• Review insurance applications for compliance and adherence
• Collect appropriate and accurate information for assessing potential clients and determining acceptable risks
• Conduct onsite inspections, surveys and risk management assessments
• Prepare detailed risk survey reports 
• Balance mass and homogeneity of risks for predictability
• Decide to accept, modify or reject an insurance application
• Escalate complex cases to the Underwriting Supervisor or Non-life Operations Head (Underwriting) as needed

RATING

• Determine appropriate premiums and coverage amounts
• Select policy wordings and prepare terms and conditions
• Draw up competitive insurance premium quotes
• Negotiate terms with policyholders or their brokers

REINSURANCE

• Decide whether the risk should be shared with a reinsurer
• Prepare reinsurance placement slip
• Seek support from reinsurers
• Assist in preparing data for treaty negotiation

PORTFOLIO ANALYSIS

• Conduct regular analysis of the underwriting portfolio to assess performance and identify trends
• Identify areas of improvement and recommend adjustments to underwriting policies
• Collaborate with the immediate superior to implement changes for portfolio optimization 

ADHERENCE TO UNDERWRITING PRINCIPLES

• Ensure strict adherence to underwriting principles, policies, and procedures
• Uphold ethical standards and comply with industry regulations and legal requirements
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in underwriting decisions

OTHERS

• Prepare underwriting reports
• Liaise with specialists to gather information and opinions
• Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with applicable insurance laws and government regulations
• Develop and maintain a profitable book of business for the company
• Perform other task as required by immediate superior and/or higher management

• Must be a graduate of any four-year course
• Experience with an insurance company is a must
• Experience with non-life insurance products is a must
• Certifications in non-life insurance is a plus
• Must be keen to details
• Must be computer literate
• Must be willing to work onsite in Cagayan de Oro City
