Description
- Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles
- Plan, organize, and manage subordinate members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards.
- Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs
- Proactively identify opportunities, implement cost-efficient measures and continuous improvement within the day-to-day operational activities, and to engage with the internal customers for feedback on opportunities to improve customer satisfaction
- Analyze transportation costs and the delivery process
- Provide active assistance to meet schedules and resolve complex issues.
- Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, Industrial Engineering or other Logistics related degree preferred
- At least 5-6 years in Transportation, Trucking or Logistics industry
- A self-directed individual able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and business conditions.
- Strong communication skills necessary to building working relationships and positively influence decision making
- Organizational and Time Management Abilities
- Experience with a SAP system and MS Office
