Description

Job Position: Territory Manager (Animal Health Division)


Details and sells Swine (Companion Animals) biologicals, immunologicals, pharmaceuticals, growth modifiers, environmental products and other related products through in-person sales calls to veterinary professionals, purchasers and farm owners in an assigned territory by contacting all accounts on a regular routine and consistent basis.


  1. The job directly reports to the District Manager.
  2. The job requires organizing sales call schedules on a continuous and regular basis.
  3. The job requires maintaining or exceeding territory sales projections monthly as well as quarterly, semi-annually and annually.
  4. The job requires performing administrative tasks in a timely manner including, but not limited to: submission of expense and sales reports (MSSR), getting sales orders, responding to and servicing customer requests, collecting accounts receivables and maintaining account records.
  5. The job requires working closely with the Product Technical Specialist and/or District Manager to develop, maintain and service accounts in an effort to increase sales.
  6. The job requires developing sales strategy for territory in conjunction with District Manager by constantly reviewing sales and product templates, accounts receivable records, developing new accounts and trend information to increase territorial growth and increase sales volume.
  7. The job requires establishing team spirit by building professional relationships with customers, superiors and other team members in order to enhance personal and corporate productivity and image.
  8. The job requires informing and educating veterinary professionals, farm owners and staff detailing new products as well as new information/studies on existing current primary products

Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience Level: Seeking candidates with 1-3 years of experience in sales, particularly within a supervisory role.
  • Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), strong work ethic, sales training expertise, sales management capabilities, analytical skills to interpret sales data, ability to work cohesively as a team player with a knack for marketing.
  • Responsibilities and Duties: Oversee sales activities within a designated area, provide training and support to sales staff, develop strategies to meet sales targets, analyze market trends, and coordinate with other departments.
  • Working Conditions: The role requires frequent travel within the sales area, attendance at meetings, and flexibility to work outside of typical business hours when necessary.
  • Qualities and Traits: A successful Area Sales Supervisor will be proactive, leadership-driven, adaptable, innovative, and able to inspire a team to achieve sales objectives.
