Description

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and manage every stage of the supply chain process, from purchasing raw materials to ensuring timely delivery of products to customers. This role involves optimizing sourcing and purchasing activities, developing relationships with suppliers, coordinating logistics, and improving the overall efficiency of the supply chain. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mind, excellent negotiation skills, and proven experience in managing supply chain operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support the company's overall objectives and ensure smooth production and distribution processes.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock while minimizing holding costs, balancing lead times, and managing demand forecasting.
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage logistics activities including warehousing, transportation, and distribution, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient cost management.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and analyze costs across the supply chain, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in the supply chain by implementing lean principles, improving workflows, and adopting new technologies.
  • Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions in the supply chain process.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, production, finance, and operations teams to align supply chain activities with company goals and customer demands.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Use data to monitor supply chain performance and generate regular reports to track KPIs, such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment, and supplier performance.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification in supply chain management is a plus).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems) and MS Excel; knowledge of demand forecasting, procurement, and logistics software is preferred.
  • Certifications: APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; project management experience is advantageous.
