Description
Customer Assistance:
Greet customers as they enter the store, answer general questions, and direct them to products or departments. Provide assistance with finding items and carrying purchases when needed.
Stocking & Inventory:
Help with receiving deliveries, unpacking merchandise, and restocking shelves to ensure products are readily available. Ensure products are properly labeled and organized according to store standards.
Store Maintenance:
Keep the store clean, tidy, and organized, including dusting shelves, cleaning floors, and arranging products neatly. Ensure aisles are free of obstructions and safely accessible to customers.
Merchandise Organization:
Assist with setting up displays, rotating stock, and arranging products according to the store’s layout and visual merchandising guidelines.
Cashier Support:
Assist cashiers with bagging purchases, organizing receipts, and ensuring smooth transactions during busy periods.
Product Knowledge:
Learn about store products and services to provide accurate information to customers and assist with recommendations.
Sales Support:
Assist in tracking sales and product inventory levels, alerting management when stock levels are low or when items are out of stock.
Assisting with Returns:
Help process customer returns, exchanges, and refunds as needed, ensuring compliance with store policies.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with store management and team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Assist with special projects or other tasks as assigned.
Safety & Security:
Ensure that the store’s safety and security policies are followed, including monitoring for potential shoplifting and maintaining a safe shopping environment for customers.
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Experience:
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or warehouse roles is a plus but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and organizing stock.
Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Physical stamina to lift and carry stock, stand for long periods, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
