Job Description
Performance Testing
Description
- Inspect raw materials, ingredients, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Perform sensory testing (taste, smell, texture, appearance) as part of product evaluation.
- Use laboratory equipment to conduct tests for parameters such as pH, moisture content, and nutritional values.
- Monitor the accuracy of food labeling (e.g., nutritional information, allergens, expiry dates).
- Ensure that manufacturing processes are followed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Check that temperatures, times, and other critical parameters are maintained to ensure product safety and consistency (e.g., pasteurization, baking, refrigeration).
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international food safety regulations such as FDA (Food and Drug Administration), FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Maintain records and documentation to support food safety audits and inspections.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities during recalls or investigations into product quality issues.
- Investigate and identify the root causes of quality or safety issues, including failures in the production process or ingredient sourcing.
- Analyze trends and quality data to help improve manufacturing processes or recipes.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date for internal audits and external inspections by regulatory bodies.
- Provide detailed reports and feedback to management on product quality, safety, and compliance issues.
Requirement
- Graduates of BS Food Tech and other Science Courses.
- With or without experience in the field.
- Willing to work on-site.
