Description

Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to prepare accurate project cost estimates.
Responsible for the estimation process for construction projects, including analyzing project plans and specifications, conducting material take-offs, and preparing accurate cost estimates.
Collaborating with team, project managers, crews, other colleagues, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met.
Attend onsite and consultant meetings, collaborating closely with clients, architects, and associate consultants throughout project administration.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely project delivery.
Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitiveness in bids.
Helps evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the estimation process.
Preparing and submitting project proposals, change orders, progress reports, and other documentation as needed.
Fulfill other duties as assigned by your immediate superior.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an Estimator in a construction company or similar industry
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and estimating principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and other software used by most Estimators
