Job Summary

The Production Operator is directly involved in the production of bulk mix, goods in process and finished goods that is based on established procedures on QMS. In the process, he or she is concerned with the operation and basic maintenance of production equipment and ancillary.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

·        Perform job functions consistent to the corporate vision, mission statements and the core values of the company; ensure that subordinate performs their respective functions in like manner.

·        Ensure that departmental standards are in compliance with good manufacturing practices, Basic occupational safety and Health, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015and that departmental performance meets quality, cost and delivery standards.

·        Promotes and demonstrates 4W values

 

NAV Transaction/Withdrawal/Return of Raw Material/Packaging Material (RM/PM)

·        Receives and checks RM/PM before use. (Quantity, Visual quality check, andetc.)

·        Prepare list of RM/PM including the quantity/item code, weight, batch number) for Transfer Order(TO) back to Warehouse. TO Back generation will be handled by Production Supervisor.

·        Transact TO back to Warehouse for the RM/PM. Warehouse will pull out the RM/PM.Acknowledge physical pull out of returned RM/PM.

·        Perform Pass Tagging and ATORP. Transact with RM/PM/FGL, and implement basic GHS requirements such as labeling. Can train others on RM/PM/FG handling.

 

START-UP

·        Responsible on the set-up of the production equipment/ancillary and ensure machine is up and running for mass production. It should be based on established parameters to ensure proper working order.

o   Speed/Time

o   Steam and Air Pressure

o   Temperature/Humidity

o   Weight

o   Type of blocks and density

·        Check the shelf life of raw materials and ensure these are still good for production based on QMS.

·        Responsible on the preparation of initial samples in terms of the following. And to be submitted to Production Supervisor for initial approval and to QA for approval of mass production.

o   Bulk mix

o   Good in process (GIP)

o   Finished goods (FGs)

o   Barcode Label

o   Batch Code

·        Record test results, batch of RM mixed, and chemicals/packaging lot no. used in each batch for production on the daily production report.

·        Responsible to perform in getting the required EPS density based on established matrix on QMS.

·        Ensure that the weighing scale is CALIBRATED and being tared off every time there is changed over either weight or packaging requirement.

 

IN-PROCESS

·        Perform operations of production equipment and ancillary, including minor troubleshooting, cleanup, setup, quality control, and waste control.

o   Operate different types of mixers such as VMC 300, VMC 500, DPM 300 A/B and HDM 100, auger conveyor/blender, high speed disperser, and high shear mixers.

o   Operate filling machines for coatings, adhesives, contact bond, special products and sealant. This fills sizes and types such as pouch, cartridge, tin can, pail and drum.

o   Operate tube filling machines for CYANO, EPOXY and SILICONE of different sizes and types including the holders of product size.

o   Operate auto pouch filling machine for sealants.

o   Operate EPS machines related to block and TC molding, manual EPS cutting, EPS bead pre-expanding including silos, blister packing, auto-can labeling, milling, e-pad and e-plug, respectively.

o   Operate the CAD/CAM cutting machine for cutting of EPS blocks. This requires knowledge in basic computer operation and program needed to operate the cutting machine.

·        Update the daily production report on hourly basis. Finalize and submit production report and mixing ticket to superior after the end of shift. Ensure to record correct data such as rejection rate, output/efficiency, machine downtime, actual weights of consumed RM/PM and etc. on a real time basis.

·        Conduct site clearing related to the processing of a previous product prior to start of any operation. It shall be executed every pending lot/batch/RPO, and every closing of a certain product. Record on production report.

·        Responsible to prepare non-conforming disposition report and sorting/reworking report for every rejected batch/lot/RPO.

·        Monitor and report any abnormal condition of the machine to immediate superior. And generate job order to repair machine breakdown or trouble and submit it to Maintenance Supervisor for action.

·        Assist superior on the formulation of root causes analysis and corrective/preventive actions on the quality, safety, and environmental deviations.

 

·        Responsible to implement the agreed corrective and preventive actions on the CAR/NCR report.

·        Load or pour the materials to kettle per approved mixing ticket on QMS.

·        Weigh raw materials on platform scales, label it, and indicate weights on per material established mixing ticket on QMS.

·        Performs CLAIR in his/her assigned machine and/or equipment

 

SHUTDOWN

·        Turn OFF the machine according to the operations manual and established procedure on QMS.

·        Instruct production worker to label all excess RM/PM and record on the daily production report.

·        Reconcile all RM/PM materials use for production and update the necessary daily production report.

·        Ensure waste materials are properly segregated and accounted.

·        Ensure all raw materials returned to inventory have the right quantity and information on drums/containers. Drums/containers should be in good condition.

·        Ensure 5s and material segregation are implemented on their respective area. Responsible to write on the Waste Characterization and Endorsement Form.

Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

·        At least college level or graduate of vocational course.

·        At least two (2) to three (3) years of work related experience in manufacturing set-up as a production machine operator.

 

Mandatory Trainings

 

·        Training on Basic Machine Operations and basic trouble shooting.

·        Training on Fire Safety Awareness

·        Training on PPE Awareness

·        Training on MSDS

·        Training on Evacuation Drill

·        Training on production guidelines such as SOP and WI

·        Training on EMS Awareness

·        Training on QA Awareness/AQL in QC inspection


Preferred Skills/Competencies

 

·        Knowledgeable on basic machine operations and knows basic machine trouble shooting.

·        Knowledgeable on quality inspection criteria for GIP/FG/AQL in QC inspection.

·        Able to read work instruction and standard operating procedure and write legibly on production reports.

·        Able to constantly meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.

·        Self-Responsibility - Personal accountability for one's own actions.

 

Additional details:

Physical Demands:

1.      Must be available to work overtime and weekends/holiday.

2.      The job requires regularly standing, walking and reaching with hands and arms.

Work Environment:

1.       Regularly exposed to dusty conditions and moving mechanical parts and hot temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium loud.
