Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

• Provide immediate care to patients during transport, including monitoring vital signs and administering basic first aid.
• Assist in stabilizing patients before they reach medical facilities.

Emergency Response:

• Respond to emergency calls promptly and efficiently.
• Assess the situation and determine the appropriate level of care needed.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with emergency medical personnel, hospitals, and family members regarding patient conditions and needs.
• Document patient information and care provided during transport.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with paramedics and other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
• Participate in regular training sessions and drills to enhance skills and knowledge.

Equipment Management:

• Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stocked in the ambulance.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the appropriate personnel.

Safety Protocols:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of patients and team members.
• Participate in continuous education regarding emergency care practices and regulations.

Patient Advocacy:

• Advocate for patient needs and rights during emergency situations.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during transport.

Education:

• Completed a nursing degree (BSN preferred) or a relevant healthcare-related program.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid.

Experience:

• Prior experience in emergency care or a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with ambulance operations and emergency medical protocols is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Basic knowledge of medical equipment and emergency procedures.
