Description

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of loan applications, prepare loan files for underwriting, and communicating with borrowers and loan officers throughout the loan approval process. Must be detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and enjoy working with people

Responsibilities

• Gather and verify loan application documentation: This includes tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, assets, salaries, debts and employment status and other financial documents to fill in information for the loan application.
• Prepare loan files for underwriting: Organize and package all required documentation for underwriter review.
• Obtain any missing or incomplete documentation: Work with borrowers to gather any additional information needed for loan approval.
• Track loan processing timelines: Ensure all deadlines are met to keep the loan on track for closing.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures: Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
• Research and correct mistakes in applications for clients
• Review file documentation for missing or erroneous information
• Assist Loan Officer with requests and tasks needed to complete and process applications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in mortgage processing is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in data encoding and data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processing software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
