Job Description

SUMEC Energy (PH) We are looking for a Chinese Interpreter / Translator to support daily communication, document translation, government coordination, and cross-cultural collaboration throughout the project.


What You’ll Do:

Provide oral interpretation between Chinese management and Filipino employees, government agencies, community representatives, and project stakeholders

Translate contracts, reports, manuals, HSE documents, official correspondence, and other project-related materials

Assist during meetings, trainings, site inspections, and emergency drills, including preparing bilingual meeting minutes

Support communication with government agencies (DOLE, DENR, DOE, LGUs) and community representatives

Help bridge cultural and language differences between Chinese and Filipino teams

Provide administrative and translation support as assigned by management


Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Linguistics, English, Communications, or a related field

HSK Level 4 or above (or equivalent Chinese proficiency) is preferred

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, and Filipino (Tagalog)

At least 2 years of professional interpretation or translation experience

Experience in power, energy, construction, or infrastructure projects is an advantage

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Willing to work onsite in Bugallon, Pangasinan and adapt to a project-based environment
