Role Description

This full-time Junior Associate Lawyer role is an on-site position based in Manila. The Junior Associate will handle complex legal matters, including drafting and reviewing contracts, preparing opinions and memoranda, and managing regulatory and compliance work across the firm’s practice areas. Daily responsibilities include conducting in-depth legal research, advising clients on risk and strategy, supervising junior lawyers, and coordinating with external stakeholders such as regulators and counterparties. The role also involves appearing in negotiations or hearings when required, contributing to business development initiatives, and supporting knowledge management and training within

the firm.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in corporate, commercial, and contract law, with experience advising clients on transactions and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in litigation and dispute resolution, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and case strategy development.
• Excellent legal writing, analysis, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
• Ability to mentor junior team members, manage multiple matters concurrently, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Law degree from a recognized institution and admission to the bar; prior experience as an associate or senior associate in a law firm or in-house legal team is highly beneficial.
• Comfort with using legal research platforms and technology tools; openness to continuous learning and innovation in legal practice.
