We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to join our finance team. you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, and ensuring adherence to accounting principles, policies, and procedures. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and implement best practices for financial reporting. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• ITR Preparation: Prepare and file Individual Tax Returns (ITR) for clients in compliance with relevant tax regulations. 
• BAS Preparation: Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and timely lodgment. 
• Payroll Processing: Process payroll for clients, ensuring that all calculations are accurate, compliant with local laws, and delivered on time. 
• Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. 
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. 
• Client Communication: Work closely with clients to gather necessary financial data and address any queries or concerns. 
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with tax advisors, accountants, and other teams to ensure all accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles 
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations, BAS, and ITR preparation 
• Familiarity with payroll processing and accounting software tools 
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting 
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
