Description
Finance Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations.
- Record and manage daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Invoicing & Collections:
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, and follow up on payments.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Expense Management:
- Process employee reimbursements and manage company expenses.
- Monitor and control budget expenditures.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of documents for internal and external audits.
Human Resources (HR) Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist in job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial interviews.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training coordination.
- Employee Records Management:
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Payroll Administration:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Benefits Administration:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave policies, and other perks.
- Assist in the communication and administration of employee benefits.
- HR Policies and Compliance:
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Employee Relations:
- Provide support in resolving employee inquiries and issues.
- Assist in the organization of company events and team-building activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar dual-role capacity, preferably in a startup environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and labor laws.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Experience in financial reporting and budgeting.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Work Environment:
- This role may involve a combination of remote work and in-office work depending on company policies.
