About the role

Kyouritsu Electronics Philippines, Inc. is seeking a SMT Machine Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team in Calamba City, Laguna on a full-time basis. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our surface mount technology (SMT) equipment. As an SMT Machine Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital part in maintaining our manufacturing operations, minimising downtime, and supporting the delivery of high-quality electronic products to our clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in keeping our production lines running efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on SMT machines and related equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company maintenance schedules
• Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify equipment malfunctions and technical issues
• Repair and replace faulty components, parts and assemblies on SMT machines to restore operational functionality
• Monitor machine performance metrics and analyze data to predict potential failures and recommend preventive measures
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, repair records and documentation for all servicing activities
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize equipment downtime and ensure smooth manufacturing operations
• Perform adjustments to ensure machines operate within specified parameters
• Support installation and set-up of new SMT equipment as required
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and equipment reliability
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

• a graduate of Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
• with at least 6 months of experience in SMT machine maintenance or similar electronics machine equipment maintenance roles
• Comprehensive knowledge of SMT equipment, including auto insertion machines, solder reflow ovens, wave soldering equipment and automated optical inspection systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with preventive maintenance planning and predictive maintenance techniques
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
