Description

Compliance Duties:

  1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that engineering projects comply with local, national, and international regulations, standards, and codes.
  2. Permitting and Licensing: Manage the application processes for necessary permits and licenses required for construction and engineering projects.
  3. Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control systems to ensure that construction practices meet required specifications and standards.
  4. Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental laws and regulations, including conducting environmental impact assessments (EIAs).
  5. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of compliance-related documentation, including reports, inspections, and audit results.
  6. Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions for staff on compliance matters, ensuring everyone is informed about relevant laws and company policies.
  7. Risk Management: Identify compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Communication Duties:

  1. Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including government agencies, clients, contractors, and community members.
  2. Reporting: Prepare and disseminate reports on project status, compliance issues, and stakeholder communications.
  3. Public Relations: Manage the company’s public image and handle communication with the media regarding projects and compliance-related issues.
  4. Information Dissemination: Develop communication materials such as newsletters, brochures, and presentations to inform stakeholders about compliance initiatives and project updates.
  5. Crisis Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies for crisis situations, ensuring clear and timely information dissemination.
  6. Feedback Mechanisms: Establish channels for receiving feedback from stakeholders and the community, addressing concerns and suggestions effectively.


Requirement

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, along with specialized training in compliance and communication.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with Philippine laws, regulations, and standards relevant to civil engineering and construction.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess compliance risks and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build relationships and engage with diverse stakeholders.
