Cashiers receive cash, cheques or credit/debit card payments, record these payments using cash registers or POS system, and provide change to customers.

Service Station Cashier who receives payments by cash, cheque and credit/debit cards for petrol and other merchandise at service stations, balances takings against register sales records, and gives basic assistance and advice to customers.

(May perform the following tasks)

Fuel Services

• Perform Tank Delivery
• Do tank dips when requested
• Controlling machines and attendance to avoid shortages
• Assist with forecourts when needed

Provide Customer Service

• Ensure satisfactory customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with any needs or questions.
• Able to locate or recommend product.
• Advise customer of the No refund policy

Maintain Inventory

• Must stock and re-stock shelves, replenishing product in shelving and freezers.
• Receive transfer and proper handle of BB dates
• Ensure stocks are properly labelled
• Have a knowledge of the products and able to pass on to customers

Operate Register

• Follow POS process to ensure accuracy
• Record all transactions and accept customer payments/PO at a timely manner.
• Ensure correct product is processed using barcode scanner

Clean Station

• Maintaining clean and orderly stations. This includes servicing and cleaning the restrooms, cleaning the windows and countertops, sweeping and mopping the floors, and organizing shelves. Cleaning Pumps and LPG Terminal

Other duties as assigned

• A great Cashier is attentive to detail, customer-focused, and knowledgeable about the products available in the store. They also have to maintain composure in the face of angry, frustrated, or flustered customers.
• Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Demonstrating ability in busy environments
• Showing customer service skills.
• Being able to work nights, weekends and some holidays
