DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, cut, and trim various types of meat, including beef, pork, poultry, and other deli products.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adequate stock levels of meat and deli items.
• Adhere to strict food safety guidelines and handle meat products with care.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, taking special requests, and offering product recommendations.
• Weigh, package, label, and price meat and deli items accurately.
• Maintain visually appealing meat displays and ensure products are fresh and correctly priced.
• Operate meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the Deli team to fulfill orders and prepare products for sale.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment.
• Follow guidelines for portion control, waste minimization, and product yield optimization.

• Formal training in meat cutting or culinary arts.
• Experience in a retail or foodservice setting.
• Preferably with NCII on Meat Slaughtering Operations.
• Proven experience as a Butcher, preferably in a deli or retail environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of meat preparation techniques, including cutting, trimming, and deboning.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling/storage of meat.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
