Description

Coffee Preparation: Prepare a wide range of coffee and espresso-based beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, americanos, and other specialty drinks.
Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude, take orders, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences. Ensure that guests have a positive and welcoming experience.
Latte Art: Craft beautiful latte art and ensure that every coffee drink is visually appealing, as well as delicious.
Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the café’s menu, including coffee blends, pastries, and any seasonal or specialty items. Be able to explain drink options to customers and provide guidance on drink selections.
Cash Handling: Accurately process customer transactions using the POS system, handle cash, and provide correct change.
Inventory & Stocking: Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients. Help restock items as needed and ensure that all products are fresh.
Machine Maintenance: Operate and maintain coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothers. Ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and in good working order.
Health & Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, cleanliness, and sanitation standards. Ensure that the café environment is clean and tidy at all times.
Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the bar area and café workspace clean, organized, and presentable. Regularly wipe down surfaces, clean tools and equipment, and ensure a tidy customer-facing area.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other baristas, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations, particularly during peak hours. Assist with opening and closing duties.

Requirement

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not required.
Passion for coffee and an interest in learning more about coffee brewing techniques and flavors.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly, positive manner.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of coffee brewing equipment and techniques, including espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothing.
Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Strong attention to detail, especially in drink presentation and quality control.
