Description

The Bar Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a bar or nightclub, ensuring efficient and profitable operations while maintaining high standards of service. This role requires a combination of managerial skills, operational knowledge, and a passion for the nightlife industry.


Staff Management: 

a. Recruit, hire, and train bar staff.

b. Develop and manage staff schedules.

c. Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.

d. Address disciplinary issues and resolve conflicts.


Inventory Management: 

a. Manage inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and other bar supplies.

b. Place orders with suppliers and ensure timely delivery.

c. Monitor inventory costs and minimize waste.


Customer Service:

a. Ensure excellent customer service by providing a welcoming and enjoyable  atmosphere.

b. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.

c. Build and maintain relationships with regular customers.


Operational Efficiency:

a. Optimize bar operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. o Implement    systems and procedures to improve productivity.

b. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.


Event Management:

a. Coordinate and manage bar-related events, such as themed parties, and special promotions. o Work with event planners, vendors, and artists to ensure successful events.


Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

Requirement

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience Level: 3-5 years of relevant experience in food and beverage management.
  • Skills and Competencies: Proficient in inventory management, restaurant management, quality control, and bar management.
  • Responsibilities and Duties: Oversee food and beverage operations, manage teams, and ensure quality standards.
  • Working Conditions: Fast-paced environment; may require evenings and weekends.
  • Qualities and Traits: Strong work ethic, teamwork, excellent communication skills, and computer literacy.
