Job Overview

• Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor
• Reports to: Engineering Manager
• Main Purpose of the Job: The E&I Supervisor plans, implements, and provides detailed reporting of Electrical & Instrumentation activities in the plant.

Key Deliverables/Objectives

• Ensure that all Electrical & Instrumentation devices are functional and properly maintained/calibrated.
• Ensure that all Electrical and Instrumentation technicians are trained and qualified to perform their tasks.
• Develop and maintain records, including maintenance and troubleshooting guides, that conform to IMS standards.
• Develop close technical support from equipment vendors.

Key Contacts (Internal/External)

• Internal:
• Directly reports to the Engineering Manager.
• Manages Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians.
• Coordinates with different department heads.
• External:
• Works with equipment vendors related to Instrumentation and Control device concerns.

Main Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and assigns personnel to daily inspections and preventive/corrective maintenance for all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Reviews completed repair work, monitors periodic electrical energy consumption, and recommends cost-reduction measures and system improvements.
• Manages the E&I maintenance and CAPEX budget while regularly inspecting work for compliance with company standards and government electrical codes.
• Serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for new I&C installations and coordinates closely with vendors on technical specifications.
• Maintains accurate engineering and technical records, including updated P&ID diagrams, manuals, maintenance logs, and spare specification sheets.

• Working knowledge of instrumentation and control devices (including ladder diagrams, PLCs, solenoid valves, pneumatic controlled devices, and level/temperature/pressure/flow indicators and transmitters).

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• ACAD Drawing and computer literacy (MS Office and related software applications).
• Basic knowledge of PLC Programming and I&C Device calibration.
• Electrical & Instrumentation Wiring & Controls.
• Familiarity with commissioning, terminating, and calibrating the following instrument brands:
• PLC: ABB / Siemens / Honeywell
• Control Valves: Samson / Flowserve
• Flowmeters (Magnetic/Vortex): Yokogawa / Emerson / Siemens
• Pressure Transmitters: Siemens / Emerson / Honeywell / ABB
• Temperature Transmitters: Baumer / Wika
• Rotameter: Eureka

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of Electrical Engineering or related college courses.
• Experience: 3–5 years of work experience in Manufacturing Operations specifically in Instrumentation & Controls.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer
• Instrumentation Certification (preferred)
