Basic Duties (But not limited to) :

• Responsible for maintaining laboratory cleanliness and supplies
• Responsible for running laboratory tests such as hematology, smears, and serum chemistry.
• Blood collection on dogs and cats
• Logging of laboratory tests
• Filing of laboratory test results
• Storing of blood samples

Work Environment (Laboratory)

• Serum Processing Machines are available
• Special test kits are available
• Microscopy available
• Reagents and other equipment are available.

Education:

• Medical Technologist Graduates have an advantage
• Med tech undergrads or underboards accepted.
• Licensed Medical Technologists have an advantage

Work Experience:

• Laboratory work in a similar industry is an advantage

Health Considerations:

• Must not be allergic to any animal type or allergic to common laboratory-related substances.
• No anxiety about working with animals present
