Job Description
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also assist with budget preparation, audits, and financial analysis to support informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- General Ledger Management: Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, manage overdue accounts, and ensure timely collections.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Tax Preparation: Assist with the preparation of tax returns, including VAT, sales tax, and other related filings.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with auditors during annual audits and assist in providing the necessary documentation.
- Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, laws, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Experience: Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role; experience in the industry is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar), Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
