Job Summary:

A Welder is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal parts and structures using various welding techniques and equipment. They read blueprints, prepare materials, and ensure welded components meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.

Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.

Perform welding using methods such as MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Cored welding.

Cut, shape, and assemble metal components.

Inspect welds to ensure strength, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.

Repair damaged metal structures and equipment.

Clean and prepare surfaces before welding.

Follow workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.

Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.

Complete work orders and production records as required.
