Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer with expertise in WordPress, UI/UX design, and strong knowledge of backend API integration using open-source technologies. This role requires a developer who can create visually appealing, responsive websites while ensuring robust backend functionality and API integrations.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Lanang, Davao City office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive WordPress websites with a focus on UI/UX best practices.
• Customize and develop WordPress themes and plugins to meet project needs.
• Integrate and manage backend APIs using open-source technologies.
• Ensure websites are optimized for speed, performance, security, and SEO.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing websites, providing timely updates and fixes.
• Collaborate with the design and development teams to create cohesive and functional websites.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging web development trends, tools, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in WordPress development and design.
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles, with a portfolio demonstrating responsive web design.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Experience integrating and working with RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience with open-source backend development.
• Knowledge of SEO, website optimization, and performance tuning.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Must be based in Davao City and willing to work on-site at our Lanang office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Familiarity with modern version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of web hosting, server environments, and domain management.
