Job description:

Warehouse Assistant supports the daily operations of a warehouse by receiving, storing, organizing, and dispatching goods efficiently and safely.

Warehouse Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

Receive, unload, and inspect incoming deliveries and shipments.

Verify the quantity and quality of received items against purchase orders and delivery documents.

Store products in designated warehouse locations following company procedures.

Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or delivery.

Label, sort, and organize inventory accurately.

Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock audits.

Update inventory records and maintain accurate stock levels.

Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (if certified).

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Report damaged, missing, or defective items to supervisors.

Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

Follow workplace health and safety regulations and company policies.

Support other warehouse activities as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.

Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record keeping.

Good communication skills.
