• Waiting staff serves customers by serving food and preparing tables. An important part of the work is to make customers feel welcome and comfortable during their meal.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills
• With interest in food and drink
• High standard of personal hygiene and good grooming
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to memorize orders
• Good numerical skills for dealing with bills and payments
• Organized is an advantage
• Good in decision making
• Can do administrative work

Requirements

• Graduate of 4 years course (preferably an HRM graduates)
• Willing to be trained
• Height must be 5’2 - 5'4
• With pleasing personality
• Must know how to speak and understand English

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for taking and serving of orders
• Responsible for having a good customer service towards people
• Responsible for bussing out of plates and cleaning the table
• Responsible for table set up
• Responsible for cleaning his/her station and restroom
• Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Involved in coordinating with kitchen staff (ex. Follow-up orders, comments and suggestions of the customer)
• Maintaining the quality of the products
• Responsible for updating the menu and maintain stock level
• Able to multitask and knowledgeable about the company’s products
• Perform assigned duties by the management

Working Condition

• Will experience prolonged standing most of the time
• Unauthorized to certain stations
• You will sometimes lift heavy items
• During busy dining periods, you will be under pressure to serve customers quickly and efficiently
• Expect customer service
• Worked at varied hours house/days based on business needs
• Move and handle merchandises throughout the store
• With regular shifting schedule
• Immediate change of schedules, fieldwork and extended duty from time to time if requested
• Will work indoors and they are often unable to leave their workstation without supervisory approval because they are responsible for large sums of money (cashier)
• Repetitious activities and motion
• Required to know how to use a variety of machines other than cash register
• Any other duties assigned by manager should be followed
