Visual Merchandiser

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Merchandiser to manage product planning, visual presentation, and inventory control. In this role, you will analyze market trends, align inventory levels with customer demand, and design impactful product displays to maximize sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Product & Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels across sales channels, track reorder points, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and stockouts.
• Sales & Trend Analysis: Evaluate sales data, track seasonal trends, and analyze consumer behavior to forecast future demand and optimize product placement.
• Visual Merchandising: Design and implement high-impact in-store or online product displays, layout strategies, and promotional setups that align with brand standards.
• Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, buyers, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and proper placement of merchandise.
• Pricing & Promotion Strategy: Assist in developing pricing strategies, markdowns, and promotional campaigns to clear slow-moving inventory and drive sales goals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with retail store teams, marketing, and purchasing managers to ensure cohesive execution of promotional campaigns.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Retail, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in retail merchandising, inventory management, or sales forecasting.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing sales metrics, inventory turnover, and market data using Microsoft Excel or dedicated ERP/inventory software.
• Visual Standards: Strong sense of visual aesthetics and design, with a deep understanding of consumer purchasing habits.
• Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate delivery timelines with vendors and communicate display guidelines to store staff.
• Adaptability & Physical Requirements: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and handle light physical labor (lifting, arranging store displays) as needed.
