Merchandiser (Roving)

Responsibilities

Monitor Product Availability & Inventory

• Check SKU availability, OOS items, backroom inventory, and delivery completeness/timeliness.

Ensure Proper Merchandising & Shelf Execution

• Monitor planogram compliance, shelf placement, product facing, cleanliness, POSM, and secondary displays.

Monitor Pricing & Promotions

• Check pricing accuracy and proper implementation of promotions, discounts, bundles, and agreed displays.

Conduct Competitor & Market Checks

• Monitor competitor pricing, placement, promotions, visibility, new launches, and shelf share.

Document Store Visits & Findings

• Take photos, record store conditions, and consolidate observations and gaps.

Follow Through on Action Points

• Coordinate and follow up with relevant teams/distributors to address store-level concerns and ensure resolution.

Attend Monthly Alignment

• Attend the monthly alignment of the Modern Trade Team at the HQ office as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, field sales, trade marketing, or retail execution.
• Experience in supermarkets, modern trade, or retail stores is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of shelf merchandising, product availability, pricing, promotions, and POSM execution.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot store-level issues.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to prepare basic store visit reports and documentation.
• Comfortable using Google Sheets/Excel and taking photos for store audits.
• Willing to do regular store visits/roving within assigned areas.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• No degree required; relevant merchandising/field experience is the priority.
