As a Marine Travel Consultant at Philscan Travel and Tours, Inc., you will be responsible for providing comprehensive travel planning and booking services to our valued maritime clients. In this full-time position based in Makati City Metro Manila, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient organisation of travel arrangements for seafarers and other maritime personnel. Maritime or marine industry travel experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Handles bookings, rebookings, and ticketing for domestic, regional, and some international travel.
• Communicates with clients, team members, and other business units professionally via various communication channels.
• Manages transactional requirements using tools such as mid office systems and client magic to ensure efficient travel arrangements.
• Managing changes and modifications to existing travel bookings
• Addresses ADMs and other minor issues as they arise, which is expected due to limited knowledge of complex fare rules.
• Supports administrative tasks including email and calendar management, office supply requisitions, and creation of payment request forms.
• Demonstrates basic proficiency with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and can provide accurate fare quotations based on client requirements.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and supplier offerings

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Travel Consultant.
• Experience with any Global Distribution System (GDS) is required to provide accurate fare quotations.
• Exhibits strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities, particularly in resolving booking issues to maintain client satisfaction.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle complex travel arrangements
• Proficiency in using travel booking systems and online platforms
• Attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accurate records
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
