Job Description
- Prepare and cut fiberglass mats, fabrics, or other composite materials according to specifications, position them within molds, and apply resin to ensure proper bonding and structural strength.
- Operate rollers, vacuum bagging systems, and other tools to remove trapped air, achieve the required material thickness, and monitor the curing process to ensure product integrity.
- Identify and repair defects such as cracks, blisters, and delamination by removing damaged sections, rebuilding surfaces, and restoring components to their original shape and condition.
- Perform sanding, polishing, buffing, and the application of gel coats, paints, or protective finishes to achieve the desired appearance and quality standards.
- Conduct dimensional measurements using precision instruments and inspect completed products to verify compliance with design specifications and structural requirements.
- Follow established health and safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, and protective clothing when handling fiberglass materials, resins, and related chemicals.
