Description

  • Install and maintain outside plant (OSP) infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper networks.
  • Conduct field surveys to assess installation conditions and plan routing.
  • Perform splicing and termination of fiber optic cables.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repair of OSP facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a telecommunications or related technical program is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in OSP installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Knowledge of OSP construction practices and standards.
  • Familiarity with OSP tools and equipment, such as fiber splicers, cable testers, and excavation tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret OSP drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and can drive a 4-wheel vehicle
