The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance of production machines and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The role involves troubleshooting machine issues, assisting in equipment repairs, and supporting the maintenance team in minimizing machine downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards.


Qualifications

  • Graduate of any Technical or Vocational course.
  • With six (6) months to one (1) year of work experience in a plastic injection manufacturing company.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledgeable in Programmable Logic Control (PLC) is an advantage.
  • Experience in mold maintenance and injection molding machines is an advantage.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules and render overtime when necessary.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling maintenance-related activities.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance activities on production machines and equipment based on the established maintenance schedule.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair of machine abnormalities to minimize production downtime.
  • Assist in the installation, adjustment, and calibration of injection molding machines and related equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance and report recurring issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Support mold installation, removal, and minor mold maintenance activities when necessary.
  • Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems of machines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of tools, equipment, and work areas following 5S standards.
  • Prepare and update maintenance records, reports, and machine history documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production and other concerned departments regarding machine concerns and maintenance requirements.
  • Follow company safety policies and standard operating procedures during maintenance activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and operational efficiency.
