Job Description

In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone for dynamic courses featuring breakout groups, experiential exercises, physical activities, and collaborative group projects. By handling key administrative and logistical demands, you enable lead lecturers to devote their full attention to high-impact teaching, academic feedback, and student discussion.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Facilitation & Engagement: Support small-group discussions, workshop activities, and experiential sessions while keeping students on task and maintaining an orderly learning environment.

Class & Group Monitoring: Record attendance, track group membership, and monitor project milestones and checkpoints.

LMS & Submission Management: Organize course materials on learning management systems, monitor student output completions, and send routine deadline reminders.

Technology & Logistics: Troubleshoot audio/video equipment, set up classroom technology, and manage physical materials for classroom activities.

Assessment Administration: Perform preliminary administrative checks on student submissions using established rubrics and organize outputs for the lead lecturer.

Student Support & Communication: Respond to routine procedural questions, maintain accurate class documentation, and relay lecturer-approved announcements.

(Note: The Assistant Lecturer supports learning logistics while the lead lecturer retains sole responsibility for course content changes, final grading, formal academic evaluations, and disciplinary matters.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field education.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with undergraduate students and organize academic requirements.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace and online learning platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or facilitation experience are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Graduate-level coursework or a master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience working in a college/university setting and utilizing learning management systems (LMS).
