Cybersecurity Instructor (Part Time) - AMA University

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced TESDA Cybersecurity Instructor to join AMA University in a part-time capacity. Based in Project 8, Quezon City, this role offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through vocational training. As a TESDA-accredited instructor, you will deliver high-quality technical education aligned with industry standards and government training regulations. This position is crucial in preparing students for successful careers in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity field.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical cybersecurity training modules in accordance with TESDA curriculum standards and competency requirements
• Develop and prepare comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools for cybersecurity courses
• Conduct hands-on laboratory sessions and practical exercises to ensure students gain real-world cybersecurity skills
• Assess student progress through examinations, practical assessments, and projects, maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Provide mentorship and support to students, offering guidance on career pathways in cybersecurity and industry opportunities
• Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices to ensure curriculum relevance
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and the academic team to continuously improve training programs and outcomes
• Maintain a safe and secure learning environment, including proper management of laboratory equipment and systems
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching methodologies and technical knowledge

What we're looking for

• A valid and current TESDA Training Methodology Level I (TM I) or equivalent vocational teaching qualification in cybersecurity or information technology (
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related IT fields
• Strong technical knowledge in areas such as network security, threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and security protocols
• Proven experience delivering vocational or technical training to diverse student groups
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable manner
• A genuine passion for education and commitment to student success and development
• Familiarity with industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications/credentials (such as CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)) is highly desirable
• Ability to work flexibly in a part-time capacity and adapt to the college's scheduling requirements
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in preparing instructional materials and maintaining records
