TOEFL Instructor – Job Description

Position Summary

The TOEFL Instructor is responsible for preparing students for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The instructor teaches English communication skills, develops students’ test-taking strategies, and helps improve performance in reading, listening, speaking, and writing sections of the exam.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct TOEFL review classes for students and professionals
• Teach English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and academic writing
• Prepare lesson plans, review materials, and mock examinations
• Evaluate student progress through quizzes, tests, and feedback sessions
• Guide students in improving TOEFL scores and communication skills
• Maintain class records and submit performance reports
• Provide one-on-one coaching when necessary
• Create an engaging and supportive learning environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field
• Strong English communication and teaching skills
• TOEFL teaching or ESL teaching experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of TOEFL test structure and strategies
• Patient, organized, and student-oriented
• TESOL/TEFL certification is a plus
