Description

  • Lead tax planning and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Manage filing of all local, state, and federal taxes for Prince Retail Group of Companies.
  • Advise on tax strategies and implications of business decisions within the retail industry.
  • Oversee audits, identify tax savings, and maintain accurate tax records.
  • Stay abreast of tax laws and continuously assess the impact on company operations.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to integrate tax practices into financial systems.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
  • Experience Level: At least 3-5 years of experience in tax management or similar roles with a proven track record in tax planning and compliance.
  • Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of tax planning, tax administration, and tax laws.
  • Capability in handling export tax rebates and conducting tax audits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective reporting and documentation skills.
  • Responsibilities and Duties: Develop and implement tax strategies.
  • Oversee tax reporting and planning to minimize liabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Manage and mentor tax department staff.
  • Coordinate audits with external tax consultants and auditors.
  • Qualities and Traits: Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, exceptional leadership capabilities, adept at multitasking, strong ethical foundation.
