Description
- Lead tax planning and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Manage filing of all local, state, and federal taxes for Prince Retail Group of Companies.
- Advise on tax strategies and implications of business decisions within the retail industry.
- Oversee audits, identify tax savings, and maintain accurate tax records.
- Stay abreast of tax laws and continuously assess the impact on company operations.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to integrate tax practices into financial systems.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
- Experience Level: At least 3-5 years of experience in tax management or similar roles with a proven track record in tax planning and compliance.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of tax planning, tax administration, and tax laws.
- Capability in handling export tax rebates and conducting tax audits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective reporting and documentation skills.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Develop and implement tax strategies.
- Oversee tax reporting and planning to minimize liabilities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Manage and mentor tax department staff.
- Coordinate audits with external tax consultants and auditors.
