Job Description

Primary Objective of Position:

The primary objective of a Tax and Compliance Officer is to ensure that a company adheres

strictly to national and local tax laws, minimizing financial risks, avoiding

costly penalties, and maintaining good standing with regulatory bodies like the

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). The role likewise covers tax and compliance

responsibilities for other companies under the ownership of Senior Management,

including sister companies, affiliates, and related entities, as may be

assigned.


Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Provides the bookkeeper every 5th of the month Compensation and Expanded Data.

·        Provides the bookkeeper every 10th of the month Summary of Purchases, Sales and Importation for UBIC and Summary of Rental for PRDC, as well as the corresponding reports for other companies under the ownership of Senior Management, including sister companies, affiliates, and related entities, as may be assigned.

·        Provides the bookkeeper every 10th of the month Vatable/Non-Vatable Expenses, Disbursement and every quarter of BIR Form 2307.

·        Coordinates with the Disbursement Team to ensure on time payment.

·        Monitors branch compliance with BIR.

·        Updates books of accounts (manual) daily.

·        Assists during tax mapping (should coordinate with the bookkeeper).

·        Ensures compliance of the company with the local government unit (LGU) such as Mayor’s Permit. Analyzes the billing of the local government especially Mayor’s Permit.

·        Attend to affiliated companies (PRDC/RRDC/Fortress) requirements

Ø Timekeeping of RRDC, PRDC, and Fortress employees, and employees of other assigned affiliated or related companies

Ø Processing of SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions for RRDC, PRDC, and Fortress employees, Penaloza's household helpers, and employees of other assigned affiliated or related companies.

Ø Update books of accounts and prepare and file BIR returns, SEC compliances, and other statutory requirements for RRDC, PRDC, and Fortress, as well as other companies under the ownership of Senior Management, including sister companies, affiliates, and related entities, as may be assigned.

·        Liaises with SSS/PHIC/HDMF/BIR/SEC.

·        Handles Fixed Assets monitoring which includes updating of lapsing schedule, tagging and physical count.

·        Handles monitoring of office supplies and marketing collateral inventory which includes maintaining a monitoring schedule and physical count.

·        Safe keeping of document files.

·        Other duties that maybe assigned from time to time.


Working Schedule: Monday - Saturday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM
