Job Summary

We are looking for a Certified Social Compliance Auditor who will conduct social compliance audits at client and supplier facilities to assess whether they comply with applicable labor laws, ethical employment practices, health and safety requirements, human rights standards, and client-specific codes of conduct.

The auditor will review workplace practices, employee records, policies, and facility conditions, identify areas of non-compliance, document audit findings, and prepare clear and accurate audit reports.

This position requires a valid CSCA – APSCA certification.

Key Responsibilities

Social Compliance Audits

  • Conduct social compliance audits at client and supplier facilities.
  • Assess compliance with applicable labor laws, employment regulations, and workplace standards.
  • Evaluate compliance with client-specific Codes of Conduct and social responsibility requirements.
  • Review working conditions, employee welfare, health and safety practices, and human rights standards.
  • Conduct employee interviews and management interviews as part of the audit process.
  • Inspect workplace facilities and identify potential compliance risks.

Document and Records Review

  • Review employee files, payroll records, attendance records, contracts, working hours, benefits, and other relevant documents.
  • Check compliance with wage, working-hour, leave, and employment requirements.
  • Review company policies and procedures related to labor, health and safety, ethics, and human rights.
  • Verify whether required permits, licenses, and workplace records are properly maintained.

Audit Findings and Reporting

  • Identify and document violations, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Collect and maintain appropriate audit evidence and supporting documentation.
  • Classify findings based on the applicable audit standards or client requirements.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely audit reports.
  • Clearly communicate audit findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Recommend corrective actions where applicable.

Follow-Up and Corrective Actions

  • Review corrective action plans submitted by audited facilities.
  • Monitor the progress of corrective actions and verify supporting evidence.
  • Conduct follow-up assessments when required.
  • Ensure identified issues are properly addressed and closed.

Client and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, facility management, and other stakeholders before, during, and after audits.
  • Maintain professional and objective communication throughout the audit process.
  • Explain audit requirements and findings clearly to management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client, supplier, and employee information.

Quality and Compliance

  • Conduct audits objectively, independently, and in accordance with applicable audit methodologies and professional standards.
  • Maintain accurate audit documentation and working papers.
  • Stay updated on relevant labor laws, social compliance standards, human rights requirements, and health and safety regulations.
  • Follow company and client requirements for audit quality, documentation, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Required: Valid CSCA – APSCA certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Accounting, Occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in social compliance auditing, labor compliance, HR, occupational health and safety, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment practices, working conditions, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Experience conducting employee and management interviews.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify compliance risks.
  • Willingness to travel to client and supplier facilities as required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments.
