- Ability to accurately read and communicate orders
- Well-organized, with a strong sense of urgency; able to track multiple orders and multi- task effectively
- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Solid knowledge of food-safety and hygiene practices
- Understanding of Japanese ingredients, recipes, and presentation standards
- Ability to follow the head chef’s direction and apply advanced cooking techniques
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as a kitchen cook in a Japanese restaurant or other types of restaurants
- Excellent communication skills, must be able to speak English
- Basic computer skills and previous experience using kitchen or inventory software
