Job Description
- Take precise measurements from clients to ensure accurate garment fit.
- Alter, repair, or modify garments to fit customer needs and specifications.
- Sew and construct new garments using patterns and fabric selections.
- Recommend suitable materials and design options based on customer preferences.
- Perform quality checks to ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Maintain tailoring equipment and ensure cleanliness of the work area.
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Keep records of customer orders, fittings, and alterations
- Educational Qualifications: No formal degree required; relevant tailoring courses are a plus.
- Experience Level: Less than 1 year of experience in tailoring.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficient in sewing techniques, fabric knowledge, attention to detail, and an eye for design.
- Working Conditions: Primarily indoors, with occasional client meetings; may involve standing for long periods.
- Qualities and Traits: Creative, reliable, patient, and strong communication skills.
