Job Description

An Equipment Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs machinery and equipment, focusing on ensuring reliable and efficient operation. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, replacing parts, and maintaining meticulous repair records. Key skills involve strong problem-solving abilities, a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and adherence to safety standards


Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Setup: Install, assemble, and set up new equipment and systems. 
  • Maintenance: Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on machinery to prevent downtime and ensure peak performance. 
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and identify the root causes of equipment malfunctions using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools. 
  • Repairs: Repair or replace defective components, often using hand tools and specialized equipment. 
  • Testing: Test repaired equipment to confirm it is functioning correctly and make necessary adjustments. 
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used for future reference and analysis. 
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols. 
  • Inventory Management: Manage spare parts and consumables, tracking inventory levels to ensure their availability for repairs. 
  • Collaboration: Work with other technicians, engineers, and operations staff to coordinate maintenance efforts and resolve issues.
