Description

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales and promoting GICA Grinding Wheel products, ensuring customer satisfaction, and providing technical expertise to meet clients’ needs. This role combines technical knowledge with strong communication skills to engage with clients, demonstrate product benefits, and deliver solutions tailored to customer requirements. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the operations and office teams to understand the product line and offer valuable input on product development based on customer feedback.



  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet company revenue goals.
  • Identify and target potential customers in relevant industries such as manufacturing, metalworking, and toolmaking.
  • Provide technical consultation and support to customers to demonstrate the advantages of GICA’s grinding wheels and solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations and training sessions for customers.
  • Assist clients in choosing the appropriate grinding wheel products based on their specific needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring post-sale support and addressing any technical or service-related issues.
  • Keep track of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to help guide product development and sales strategy.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and manage sales pipelines.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar fields), or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in sales or technical support within the industrial or manufacturing sectors. Experience in grinding wheels or abrasive products is a plus.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with experience in business development and key account management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers with varying levels of expertise.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to assess customer needs and provide tailored technical solutions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for understanding technical specifications and preparing sales forecasts.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary to support sales activities and technical consultations.
