Description

  • Works with Supervisor/s to impose procedures and systems for improving efficiency and better quality. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with approved health and safety plans by DOLE.
  • Acts as the Canteen Representative on health and safety environment to investigate, or assist with the investigation, of incidents in your area of responsibility.
  • Imposes and monitors all health, safety, and environmental activities to ensure that the agreed safety and loss prevention standards are fully implemented and properly followed.
  • Carry out health and safety inspections of your workplace, eliminating work hazards, as designated above, before health and safety committee meetings. Provide safety training and orientation to all employees, contractors, and visitors on-site.
  • Investigating accidents, writing incident reports, and making recommendations. Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes and implement corrective measures. Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including incident reports, training logs, and inspection findings.
  • Conduct the Mandatory 8-hour Occupational Safety & Health Seminar for all employees and new hires regularly.
  • Smoke Cessation Seminar for all employees regularly and upon onboarding of new hires
  • Practices discipline to subordinates. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is utilized correctly by all personnel.
  • Monitors work for compliance with applicable codes and accepted General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety practices. Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure compliance with company safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of all the areas (kitchen, dining, offices, stock rooms, etc.) to identify and mitigate risks, e.g. signages, and toolbox meetings. Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to continuously improve the safety program.


Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree Graduate
  • Less than 1 year of experience required
