Key Responsibilities:

2. Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and protocols to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

3. Conduct Safety Training: Provide training and orientation to employees on safety procedures, protocols, and best practices.

4. Investigate Incidents: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

5. Monitor and Report Safety Performance: Track and analyze safety metrics, such as incident rates, injury frequencies, and lost-time injuries, to identify trends and areas for improvement.

6. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with employees, management, contractors, and regulatory agencies to promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

7. Stay Up-to-Date with Regulations: Maintain knowledge of relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field

- Professional certifications, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Safety Officer 3.

- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices

- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Work Environment:

- Safety Engineers work in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and government

- They may work in offices, factories, construction sites, or other settings where safety hazards exist
