The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment by developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and program. The role involves identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and fostering a culture of safety awareness within the organization. The Safety Officer will work closely with managers, employees, and external authorities to minimize accidents, injuries, and health risks.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Additional safety-related certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in construction.
  • Familiarity with creating and maintaining safety documentation, including safety data sheets, safety manuals, and accident reports.
